Thomas Aquinas is but one thinker in the rich Dominican tradition and the TAC seeks to draw wisdom from many sources. However, in this Aquinas is a strong model. Not only is he situated within the core of the development of one of the Western world’s most potent traditions, whose origins lie in Aristotle and continue to the present day, but he also developed his own philosophy in earnest engagement with thinkers from traditions radically different from his own.
