About the Author
Thomas Joseph White, O.P. is a Dominican friar and a prominent contemporary Catholic theologian. His work is particularly noted for its sustained engagement with the thought of St. Thomas Aquinas and for its integration of systematic theology with philosophical rigor.
He currently serves as Rector of the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in Rome, one of the principal international centers for Thomistic studies. Fr. White is widely recognized for articulating Catholic doctrine in a manner that is both faithful to the tradition and intellectually precise.
About the Book
The Light of Christ presents a systematic introduction to the Catholic faith, structured around central theological themes such as revelation, Christology, grace, moral life, and the relationship between faith and reason.
The work reflects a distinctly Thomistic approach, emphasizing the internal coherence of Christian doctrine and its grounding in both theological tradition and philosophical inquiry. As such, it provides a solid foundation for academic reading, theological formation, and sustained group discussion.
